MI6 Intel Files — 007 First Light Collectibles Guide

Overview

MI6 Intel Files are the second-largest collectible set in 007 First Light. There are 23 of them, and finding every one unlocks the For Your Eyes Only Silver trophy plus contributes to A Collector’s Habit (Gold) at 92/92. The first Intel pickup is gated until Chapter 4 — The Heart of the Matter, when Bond gets full access to Q-Branch; the last one is in the finale’s utility tunnels under MI6 itself. None are missable — Chapter Select after the campaign lets you mop up anything you walked past.

Each file is an in-fiction MI6 dossier — Bond’s own file, Q’s, Moneypenny’s wallet, profiles on the Murto twins, a folder on Bawma, a workshop notice from Selina Tan. Reading the manifest the developers are using these as tiny lore deliveries: every page tells you something the cinematics don’t.

How to spot them

  • Use Q-Watch scan — interactables glow yellow under the lens, including these folders.
  • They’re often on desks, in cupboards, on shelves, or sitting under a TV. None are mid-stealth puzzles by themselves, but some require a key, code, or detour to reach.
  • The cabinet in Q-03 Stress Testing wants code 4397 — that’s the license plate of the car parked in the chamber.

Tips

  • Don’t grind for these on your first playthrough unless you’re playing with a guide open. Chapter Select makes a second sweep faster than fighting your own pacing on run one.
  • Equip the Laser Strap continuously from Chapter 9 onward — file #20 needs it and so does the Mauritania Postcard.
  • Cabinet code 4397 is hinted inside the room by the license plate of the test car — IO Interactive really wanted you to read the room.
