Iceland — 007 First Light Location Guide

Overview

Iceland is the first location 007 First Light shows you. A pair of SAS helicopters are shot down during a hostage-retrieval operation, leaving trainee aircrewman James Bond as the sole survivor. Defying direct orders to abort, he infiltrates the camp on foot, frees the captive scientists, and destroys the satellite-research installation that drew MI6’s attention in the first place. The choice he makes in the snow is what lands him in front of M back in London — Iceland is the audition that earns him a spot in the 00 programme.

The map is built around a frozen central camp ringed by shipping containers (B2, B4, F8, G9), a hill overlook on the south rim, and a BT-65 tracked vehicle parked in the deployment area. The vibe is cold-war Greenland-but-prettier: long sightlines through blowing snow, sparse cover, and patrolling Watchers between huts. It is also the only location in the game that does double duty across the story — the prologue sets up the helicopter crash, and Chapter 1 (still tagged “Against the Odds”) sends you back through the same compound at a higher difficulty.
