Q-Lens — 007 First Light Gadget Guide

The Q-Lens is the tactical HUD overlay — hold L1 / LB / Alt to scan. It is permanently equipped and free to use; the cost is gating every Q-Watch gadget activation behind it.

What it shows

• Enemy positions through walls (orange / red)
• Hackable electronics (orange icons)
• Cameras and alarm systems
• Environmental traps — fire extinguishers, wires, chandeliers, oil barrels
• NPC carried items — keycards, cash, pickpocket targets
• Bluff-immunity flags — Watchers show a distinct marker
• Blue-battery icons for Q-Watch recharge

Why it gates the loadout

You cannot fire any Q-Watch gadget without Q-Lens held. Every gadget play starts with reading the room first — that’s the design intent. See the Q-Lens mechanic page for the full workflow.

Tips

• Hold Q-Lens before every cover swap, not after.
• Use it to spot Watchers (white-dot marker) before spending Instinct on a Bluff.
• The scan is silent and has no resource cost — there’s no reason not to use it constantly.
